Skagit River Fall Colors & Salmon Spawning
The float down the Skagit River in the fall is a perfect way to enjoy the spectacular colors of autumn and view the late spawning salmon. A great way to celebrate the season and view the natural beauty of the Skagit, you’ll discover the amazing Skagit. Our personable guides are very knowledgeable about this area and the river. Many of them have been guiding for 10 years or more and they fully enjoy sharing this wonder with visitors. Very adept at spotting plant and wildlife your guide will relate the rich history and ecology of the Skagit.
This 8-10 mile float covers the area where you will be able to view the best scenery. The trip takes about 3 hours and is suitable for all ages (6 and up) as there is no white water. Bring your cameras for the many photo opportunities. Meet in Marblemount, Washington where prior to embarking on your safe inflatable raft our guides will brief you with our safety talk about this trip. We provide shuttle service, life jackets and extra rain ponchos when necessary. Please see information in What To Wear section for proper clothing for the weather conditions on this outing.
