Pacific North West Float Trips

Testimonials

After reading the reviews, our expectations were –to put our best spin on it– low.  However, we had a fabulous afternoon on the river with our guide, Joe. We were lucky to have warm weather, clear waters, beautiful views of the surrounding snow dotted rocky peaks from the river gorge and watched salmon swimming up river.  We were the only two rafters so we were pleased that our trip was not cancelled.  However, if you are considering taking a trip with Pacific NW Float Trips, there are so… Read more

After reading some of the reviews the night before our trip…. We were a bit apprehensive. The trip was fabulous! Donovan did a great job as both a naturalist and joke teller. He also filled us in on some of the folks living along the river. They now provide lunch at the local barbeque joint in Marblemount… Lunch was just fine and included our choice of drinks and chips. We will recommend this float trip to our friends. The bus they used to take us upriver was unique to say the least… Lots … Read more

We bought a couple groupons for this whitewater trip in August, and it really turned out to be a fun time. Most of us were not experienced rafters, and the guides at Pacific NW Float trips were well-informed, and entertaining. Even though the water wasn’t running that fast, we got into some whitewater, and some water come into the raft which was exciting for the younger guys in our rafting party. The only disappointing part was the lunch that was included; I would have preferred my Peanut-butt… Read more

My wife and I had a wonderful time on the trip of February 3 on the Skagit. I talked of it at school and many teachers are interested in a trip next year. I enjoyed your presentation and the scenery, it made our weekend ‘Super’, I didn’t even miss watching the Super Bowl. Thanks again.

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. Sail away from the safe harbor…catch the currents and trade winds in your sails..Explore, Dream Discover.

A group of us from work purchased the float trip/lunch/wine tasting trip from TravelZoo. We went on the last day of September. Our guide Joe was fantastic. We had some white water, mostly 2s, which was fine since we had some people who were not thrilled with any white water. Joe was very patient with our group of crazy, wild and loud teachers. He was knowledgeable about the river, the animals and was willing to share his knowledge but was not pushy about it. He showed extreme patience with our w… Read more

My sister Mary, her husband David and son John Danforth and I were out with you team today on the Skagit for a white water raft tour. Although it wasn’t what my sister had planned for us after talking to you we did it. We were so overwhelmed with the experience and the beauty words can’t really do it justice. Joe was our tour guide and he was the best! He was extremely well versed in local history, plants, animals and geography of the region. He was in complete control of the boat at all tim… Read more

We went on this eagle watching tour for my birthday (I love me some bald eagles). When we arrived at the meeting spot, we still needed to pay, and we didn’t have cash. No worries – we were driven to the nearest ATM. The ride was amazing, and our guide was funny and informative. It was November in Washington – so it was gray and drizzling and cold, but the trip was well worth it. We saw between 20-30 eagles during our trip, including some juveniles who didn’t have their recognizable white… Read more

My daughter had read some reviews before our float trip so we were prepared for just about anything. If you aren’t expecting any type of luxury this is the trip for you. We did the float trip with a light lunch and wine tasting. The float trip was wonderful, beautiful scenery and a very interesting guide. The light lunch was just that – they provided water, some fruit, chips, turkey rollups, cookies, etc. Do not pay extra for the wine tasting. They simply tell you to go to Challenger Ridge, w… Read more

Thousands of tired, nerve-shaken, over-civilized people are beginning to find out that going to the mountain is going home; that wildness is necessity; that mountain parks and reservations are useful not only as fountains of timber and irrigating rivers, but as fountains of life.
